Shower PanelsShower wall panels in four finishes: acrylic, teak, stainless steel and black stainless steel. Panels face an existing wall, which is why people use them as an alternative to stripping back and retiling. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

Acrylic and Stainless Shower Wall PanelsAcrylic panels give a continuous surface with no grout lines to scrub or reseal, which is the usual reason for choosing them over tile in a replacement shower. Stainless and black stainless read as a harder, more commercial finish and hold up in heavy use. Teak is the warmest looking of the four. All of them go over a prepared wall, so the job is a surface one rather than a rebuild. If you are replacing the wall you may also be changing the head, so the shower head and panel categories are worth reading together.
